Founding 20

Inventor Kids is one of the original Founding 20 businesses recognised as part of the next chapter of the RAYE Awards.

What they're known for

Every child deserves to see the possibilities in science and engineering. Starting from age 3, before the world has told them otherwise.

Inventor Kids brings genuine STEM thinking to young children through a program grounded in how scientists and engineers actually work. Children are placed at the centre of their own learning and given the space to hypothesise, test, observe and describe what they actually see. They ask questions, back themselves after unexpected results and grow as thinkers. The skills they build at Inventor Kids are ones that they will carry into every classroom, every career and every challenge their future holds.

Dr Emily Anderson is a Professional Engineer with 18 years of experience across biomedical engineering, medical device development and national defence. That depth of professional expertise is what enables Inventor Kids to reach children wherever they are and adapt meaningfully for whoever needs it most. The program has been delivered across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia. In hospital wards, remote First Nations communities, to young carers and to students at risk of disengaging from school entirely. Every setting requires a different approach. Each one ensures children feel that they could belong in STEM.

The best things happen for children when the right people find each other. If that feels like you, we would love to connect.
